🏆 EPYSA 3v3 Tournament Scoring & Tiebreaker Rules

⚽ Scoring System (Pool Play)

  • Win: 3 points

  • Tie: 1 point

  • Loss: 0 points

  • Forfeit: 5–0 loss

All teams play each other once in a round-robin format. Rankings are determined by total wins.

🔢 Tiebreakers (If Teams Are Tied)

If teams are tied in the standings, the following criteria are applied in order:

  1. Head-to-head result (applies only when two teams are tied)

  2. Goal Differential (Goals For − Goals Against), capped at ±5 per game

  3. Fewest Goals Against

  4. Most Goals For

  5. Most Shutouts

If teams remain tied after all tiebreakers, they will play a sudden-death match

⏱️ Sudden-Death Match Rules (to determine 1st place only)

  • Match Length: 10 minutes, no halftime

  • Overtime: If still tied, proceed to golden-goal overtime — first goal wins
